Changing Sim Card
The Kyocera DuraXV is the flip phone used by many outlets in the Enterprise. In the event a phone malfunctions, you may need to move the existing SIM card to the replacement device. The following Job Aid walks you through the steps of changing a SIM card.
Changing A Sim Card
- Unscrew (turn counterclockwise) then remove the battery cover.
- Lift then remove the battery.
- Lift the card protection flap.
- Remove the existing SIM card. Push the SIM card gently with your finger and then release the pressure. The card ejects itself.
- Insert SIM card. With the gold contacts facing down and the cut off corner on the top left. Gently push the card in until it snaps into place.
- Close the card protection flap.
- Insert the battery. Ensure the gold contacts line up then press down gently to secure.
- Replace the back cover over on the back of the phone, press down along the edges then screw it into place (turn clockwise) to secure.
