Background Information
Attendance events will automatically be created when there is an absence or tardy recorded in TeamSense. There are certain attendance incidents that need to be added or edited manually to the timecard. The following Job Aide will display the steps necessary to add/revise an “Attendance Event” to the timecard.
Adding an Attendance Event
- Log into UKG and navigate to the Team Member’s Timecard.
- From the Timecard, click “Go-To” and select Attendance Details.
- Assure that the timeframe is set to the correct Pay Period.
- From the “Add” dropdown, select Event.
- In the “Add Event” pop-up, select the date of the occurrence and the type of event (IE NCNS, Excused Absence, Unexcused Tardy, etc.). Leave the Amount box blank and leave the Time box defaulted to the time input. Click “Save and Apply Rules” when complete.
- On the Team Member’s timecard, you will see the event and subsequent information related to the event in the box labeled with the date.
Editing an Attendance Event
When an attendance event needs to be changed or corrected, Team Leaders will have the ability to edit an Attendance Event only. Examples of changes may include editing the Event Description such as “Unexcused Absence” to a “Denied PTO”.
*Example*
In the event a team member has notified TeamSense of a tardy occurrence, however they do arrive on time for their scheduled shift, the Team Leader will need to change the Event Description to “Audited Manager Correction”.
- From the Attendance Details page, locate the Attendance Event that you are editing. Click the Pencil icon dropdown and select “Edit Event”.
- From the Edit Event Popup, select the “Event*” Dropdown, and select the appropriate change. In this example select “Audited Manager Correction” to clarify to Team Member Relations that the Event has been removed. Click “Save and Apply Rules”
- Once completed, the Attendance Details page will show an Audited Manager Correction where the Attendance Event was.
