Cisco ANYConnect - Connecting to VPN

Background Information

Casino Arizona and Talking Stick Resort provide selected users with remote access to the network while away from their desk. Requirements for remote access include Internet Access, Updated Browser (IE 10+, Firefox, Chrome), and enrollment with Microsoft Multi-Factor Authentication.  The following process will be followed each time a user attempts to access the network remotely.

A smartphone is required for the VPN Process.

Connecting to VPN

  1. In the lower right corner of your screen, click the “up arrow” to show hidden icons.
  2. Click the Cisco Secure Client icon to open “Cisco Secure Client.”
  3. On the Cisco Secure Client pop-up, click “Connect” next to “CHVPN”.
  4. In the Microsoft Sign In window, enter your Windows Username and @casinoaz.com. (ex. ChristopherV@casinoaz.com)
  5. Click "Next."
  6. In the password field, enter your Windows Password.
  7. Click "Sign In."
  8. The Approval request screen will pop up notifying you to approve the sign in on your mobile device.
  9. On your mobile device, open the Microsoft Authenticator App.
  10. You will be presented a pop-up asking to approve or deny the sign in attempt.  Tap “Approve”
  11. The Approval Request screen will disappear, and you will see a notification in the lower right corner of your screen verifying that you are now connected.
  • Note – if you do not receive this pop-up, return to step 1 and repeat the process.
