Background Information
Guests can now use BOSS (Beverage Ordering Service System) on slot machines to access available drink comps or order drinks and pay with cash. This Job Aide details how to order a beverage using BOSS.
A Salt River Rewards card is required to access and use BOSS.
Ordering a Beverage Using BOSS
To order a beverage at a slot machine using BOSS, please follow the steps below:
- Enter a Salt River Rewards card into the slot machine. This activates BOSS.
- Tap the Martini Glass/Drink Icon.
- Tap Order a Drink to open the BOSS Drink Menu.
- Guests have several options to choose from when ordering a beverage/drink.
- Select Search to search for a drink by name.
- Tap Search. Available drink names will appear on the right of the screen. Type in a drink name. Tap a name to select that drink.
- Select Drink Category to open and choose a drink from the drink catalogue.
- Guests that have used BOSS before will have the Recent Orders option.
- Guests that have used BOSS before and have favorited a drink will have the Favorite Drinks option.
- After a drink has been selected, guests will see the Personalize Your Drink option on the right side of the screen.
- Tap Personalize Your Drink to open the Drink Modifier Menu.
- Tap a modifier option from the menu on the left side of the screen. Options will be different for each drink menu item.
- Tap Close to exit the Drink Modifier Menu.
- After a drink has been selected, the summary view and other options are available.
- Guests can review their drink selection.
- Guests can review the number of modifiers selected if a drink has been personalized/modified.
- Guests can add a drink as a favorite by selecting the Add as Favorite option.
- Guests can review payment options – Earned or Cash.
- The Earned payment option is available to guests with available comp dollars. Guests that do not have enough comp dollars to cover the drink cost will only see the Cash payment option.
- Once a payment option is selected, the options to confirm the order are displayed. Select Yes to confirm the order. Select No to return to the summary view to review the order and/or make changes.
- Once an order has been submitted, guests can view their order status from the BOSS Main Menu. Tap the Martini Glass/Drink Icon to review the status of an order.
- The Cancel Drink Order option is available if guests would like to cancel their order. This option is only available if a bartender has not yet accepted the order.
- The drink order workflow is displayed at the bottom of the BOSS Main Menu for guests to track their order. The workflow will automatically update after each step is completed.
