Enterprise Reports (SSRS)

Background Information

Users with adequate permissions have the ability to dynamically run and view Enterprise Reports using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).

Viewing / Running a Report

Here are the steps to view and/or run a report in SSRS:

  1. Open a web browser and navigate to http://reports.
  2. Report folders will appear similar to Crystal Reports.  Users will only be able to see folders where they have permission to reports contained within.
  3. If the list of department folders appears, you can also click “Details View” on the right to have the folders appear.
  4. Click the department name folder pertaining to your department to locate the desired report.
  5. To run a brand new instance of the report, click the report name.  Fill in any parameters (if needed) and click View Report or hit Enter to run.  If no parameters are needed, the report will run automatically.
  6. To view a previously run copy of the report (scheduled reports only), place your mouse cursor over the report name and click the arrow that appears to the right of the report name.
  7. From the context menu that appears, select View Report History.
  8. Locate the date of the report last run desired and click the date to view the report.
  9. To save, print or export the report, locate the Export button in the toolbar the report when it’s finished running.
  10. Choose the file type you want to export the report as from the context menu and follow any on-screen prompts to save/print.
