Background Information
Encrypted messages are processed using a service called CRES. In order to open an encrypted message, users must be registered with CRES. This requires users to establish a password protected account. After this process has been completed, recipients will be able to open encrypted e-mail messages using this password.
How to Register With CRES (One Time Only)
- After opening the securedoc.html file, new CRES users will see a message in their web browser.
- Click REGISTER, this will open the New User Registration window
- Input the required information and click Register
- A confirmation e-mail will be sent to the recipient’s e-mail address with a subject line of Please activate with CRES
- Open the message and select Click here to activate this account, this will open a new window that displays a confirmation message:
- This completes the registatration process
- The recipient can now re-open the securedoc.html file and enter his/her password to view the e-mail
