Google Chrome - Clearing Cache and Cookies

Background Information

When troubleshooting Web Applications, it is often requested to clear your cache and cookies to remove any stored data and refresh the web browser.  This Job Aide will walk you through the steps to clearing your cache and cookies in Google Chrome.

Clearing Cache and Cookies

  1. In the upper right hand corner of Google Chrome, click the three dot ellipsis icon.
  2. Scroll down and select “More tools”.
  3. Scroll down and select “Clear browsing data…”
  4. In the “Clear browsing data” menu, select “Advanced”.
  5. In the “Time range” dropdown, select “All time”.
  6. Assure all the check boxes are checked and highlighted blue.
  7. Click “Clear data”.
  8. The “Clear browsing data” menu will disappear.  You have successfully cleared your cache and cookies.
