Background Information

Below is the process for processing EMV Credit Card transactions.

Transaction Steps

  1. After entering the guests order, go to the tender screen.
  2. Select EMV Chip Auth to authorize the credit card. Insert the credit card ito the P2PE device and remove when instructed.
  3. A receipt will print with lines for the tip and signature.
  4. To complete the transaction, select CC/PC Accept.
  5. Select the Existing Authorization related to the transaction
  6. Enter the Tip Amount
  7. Select Credit Card for profit centers using the Ingenico 250, ie Coffee Shop, Buffets, EDR’s, etc.
