Background Information
In effort to increase the Slots Player experience, Elite Bonusing Suite allows us to create, manage, and run promotions for certain games throughout the Slot Floor to allow Carded and Non-Carded players to qualify to win Points/Promo Dollars.
Creating a Promotion
Logging Into EBS
- Access to EBS will be known if the EBS icon is accessible from the Desktop.
- Open up the App and input credentials. UserName and Password are both Case Sensitive. In order to have access, a UserName must be assigned, by the Systems Administrator, from within EBS.
Creating a Virtual Race
- The “landing page” that is first shown when logging in is the Dashboard.
- Click on the DMT icon on the top of the screen. It will be the last icon on the row, from left- to-right, on the row of icons.
- Click on Create Promotion on the left-hand side of the screen.
- This will bring up the Create Tournament screen.
Tournament Tab
- The option is there to either Create a New Tournament or Copy an Existing Tournament
- Note: It’s recommended that Copy an Existing Tournament is selected.
- From the drop-down menu, for Select a Tournament to Copy, select one of the existing tournaments
- After selecting, you may change the Working Name and/or Display Name
- Click Next.
Settings Tab
- Choose Tournament Mode. (Roped-Off is currently the only option on the drop-down)
- Select Game from the drop-down.
- Set the Game Duration. (How long the tournament should run for)
- It’s normal not to have Show Post Game Leaderboard and Print Score Receipt checked.
- Show In-Game Leaderboard can be checked if desire is to see leaderboard of game.
- Session Start should be set to Server Start.
- Click Next.
Eligibility Tab
- Eligibility Criteria is always going to be Custom Rule
- Allow Multiple Entries Per Player can be checked or not checked - depending on preference for tournament.
- Enter in the amount of Entries per player
- Choose Scoring Method (Best Score or All Scores)
- Amount of Machines, Players, and Eligible Players on Machines can be viewed by clicking on the Test Eligibility button.
- Click Next.
Winner Tab
- Enter in the number of win positions within the field provided next to Enter Number of Win Positions
- Set the Prize Type for each of the winning positions underneath as shown (can be Cash or Points).
- Set the Prize Value, Increment Per Entry, and Auto Distribution as well.
- Click Next.
Message Tab
- Select Message Type – either Tournament Update or Tournament End
- Select Recipients – either All Machines, Only Machines with Carded Players, or Only Machines without Carded Players
- Select Message – either Tournament Update: %P or Custom Message (Tournament Update: %P is default)
- Message Type can be edited by clicking on the Edit icon under Actions on the listed message type.
- Click Next.
Signage Tab
- This is used in conjunction with Bally Cool Sign if it were in full use.
- Since we are not yet using Bally Cool Sign, click Next to proceed.
Notification Tab
- Enter in the appropriate information in the 3 fields seen on this page
- Name: This would be the name of the person in charge of approvals on promotions
- E-Mail ID: This would be the email address of the approver of promotions
- Mobile Number: The would be the mobile number approver of promotions
- Click Next.
Review Tab
- This tab is just to be able to review the overall tournament and if there are any details that need to be edited; this can be done by clicking on the edit icon next to the area that needs to be edited.
- If everything is set, or after changes are made, click ext.
Approval Tab
- If the tournament is ready to be approved, choose Yes for the top Yes/No question of “Do you want to approve this tournament?” Otherwise choose No.
- Select Yes or No to the 2nd question of “Would you like to notify the person approving this tournament?” Click Finish.
- There is no right or wrong answers to these questions.
- If Yes is selected for the approval of the tournament, it doesn’t mean that it cannot be edited at a later time. Instance where this may be applicable is if there are certain machines that want to be included in the tournament.
Manage Machine Group
- To get to this section, click on the Dashboard icon on top of the screen.
- After that, click on Tools, on the left-hand side of the screen, and then click-to-select Manage Machine Group.
- From here select the machines to be included within the Promotion.
- When done, click Save.
Approve Tournaments
- Click on the icon at the top and then click on Manage Tournaments on the left-hand side of the screen.
- Next, click on Approve Tournament and this where the Pending Approval Tournaments are shown.
- In order to approve the Tournament, click on the green checkmark shown under the Actions column.
Executing a DM Tournament
- Click on the icon at the top and then click on Manage Tournaments on the left-hand side of the screen.
- Next, click on Tournament Status. From there, under the Scheduled section, the approved tournament will show.
- Click on the running man icon to start tournament (this doesn’t really start the tournament out on the floor but it initiates the start process).
- A message will come up asking “Are you sure you want to start the tournament?” Click Yes.
- After starting the tournament, go to Tournament Controls located under Manager Tournaments.
- If the tournament has been started, it will show up on the drop-down menu for Select Tournament.
- Click on Enable Tournament
- The next step is to click on Start New Session. ***Make sure that all the Player Cards are inserted into the machines before clicking Start New Session***
- This only pertains to those machines that are involved with the DM Tournament(s).
- Once the Tournament has completed, the next step would be to click on Reset Games. ***Make sure that all the Player Cards are out of the machines prior to clicking on Reset Games***
- This only pertains to those machines that are involved with the DM Tournament(s).
- The same tournament can be used for X number of sessions. Just don’t click on End Tournament or Disable Tournament.
- When completed with running the DM Tournament(s) click on Disable Tournament and then click on End Tournament. At this point the machines involved with the DM Tournament(s) should return to their normal running state and can be played as they normally would be.
