Background Information
A W-2G is required to be issued anytime a player:
- Wins $600 or more on a 300-1 or greater payout.
Detailed jackpot payout procedures are maintained by the Blackjack department and should be referred to for specific procedural questions. If the player is a non-resident alien of the United States, a 1042S should be issued instead.
Before tax forms can be issued, a player account must exist in CMP. Employees should search CMP records to see if an account has already been created. If no account exists, follow departmental policies regarding account creation. Once the customer account has been located or created, follow the steps below to issue a W-2G.
