Background Information
A 1099 log entry must be created anytime a patron earns non-wagered winnings (gaming prizes and awards, tournaments with no entry fee, e.g., bad beats,). If the patron’s annual total of non-wagered winnings meet or exceed $600 in a calendar year, he or she will be mailed an official 1099-MISC tax form from Casino Arizona. This Job Aid outlines the steps to create a 1099 log entry in Casino Marketplace.
Creating a 1099 Log Entry
- Search for the Player Account in the Player Window
- Select the Player account
- Press F2 to open the player record and verify that all information is accurate. NOTE: a Social Security Number is REQUIRED

Printing a 1099 Log Entry
Log entries do not print automatically, however there are two occasions when they should be printed:
- If a customer requests a copy (NOTE: The log is NOT an official tax form)
- If the winnings are $600 or more, a copy should be signed by the patron and sent to the Title 31 Associate
Procedures for Making Changes
- If an existing record does not match the player’s Social Security card, a photocopy of the identification must be made and sent with a request for correction to a Title 31 Associate.
- Do NOT change the player name or Social Security number in Casino Marketplace.
- Do NOT attempt to change the 1099 log in Casino Marketplace
- Guest contact information (address, phone, e-mail) may be updated when necessary
