CMP - Barcode Scanner

Background Information

In order to effectively reach the Casino Arizona customer base, Marketing sends out mailers to patrons that include coupons for Casino goods and services. Here are the facts:

  • Mailers are sent to Player Rewards Club members on a periodic basis, at least once per month
  • Each Mailer will include a series of Coupons which have specific expiration dates
  • Food and Beverage coupons must be redeemed at the restaurant by handing the coupon to the server
  • All other coupons will be redeemed by Guest Services using a barcode scanner

Redeeming Coupons Using the Scanner

Anytime a coupon is given to a Casino Host to redeem, following these steps in Casino Marketplace:

  1. Open Casino Marketplace and navigate to the Player Directory window
  2. Move your cursor onto the Search field
  3. Scan the coupon by placing the bar code directly underneath the scanner lasers, this will open the Redeem Points window for the player
  4. Verify the identity of the Patron and that the correct Promotion has been captured
  5. Press the Tab key (this will make the Submit button available)
  6. Click Submit

Redeeming Coupons Without Using the Scanner

  1. Locate the customer in Casino Marketplace
  2. Select Redeem Points from the Jump to menu, or press F4 on your keyboard
  3. Choose <ALL> from the Category field
  4. Select the appropriate promotion from the Prize field
  5. Click Submit

Configuring the Scanner

  1. Plug the scanner into available USB port.
  2. Open the attached pdf. Scan the barcodes in sequential order, there should be a short beep after each barcode is recognized by the scanner.
