Background Information
Microsoft Surface Pro3’s are tablets used to access ShareFile and review Gaming Board Meeting documents.

Starting the Microsoft Surface Pro3 Tablet
In order to Start the Microsoft Surface Pro3 Tablet, hold the “Power Button” for 6 seconds. The keyboard will light up and the word “Surface” will appear on the screen. The desktop of the Microsoft Surface Pro3 will then appear on the screen.
How to Click
The Microsoft Surface Pro3 is a touchscreen tablet, meaning one can use their finger or supplied pen to click the screen. Attached to the tablet is a keyboard and “trackpad” (outlined in red) which can be used to select items. One simply glides their finger across the outlined area and the cursor will follow on screen.
Opening Sharefile
On the desktop find the icon titled “Sharefile,” which will be used for all documents presented during the Gaming Board Meetings. To open the application, double-click on the icon and it will open ShareFile. Please reference the ShareFile Job Aide for information on how to use ShareFile.
Increasing the Font Size
To increase the font size on ShareFile simply navigate to the gear icon in the Internet Explorer browser and place the cursor over the word “Zoom.” Then move the cursor to the pop out on the left side and select the preferred zoom size.
The font can also be increased by holding the “Ctrl” button on the keyboard and simultaneously pressing the “+” button to the left of the “Backspace” button.
Closing Applications
At the completion of the Gaming Board Meetings, close all open applications. To do so, move the cursor to the top right of the screen and select the red “X”.
Powering the Microsoft Surface Pro3 Down
To turn Microsoft Surface Pro3 off, press and hold the “Power Button” for 10 seconds. The Microsoft Surface Pro3 will power down.
Charging the Microsoft Surface Pro3
To charge the Microsoft Surface Pro3, plug the charger into the wall and then guide the charging cable into the charging port. It is magnetic so once the charging cable is close it will link itself.
Connecting the Microsoft Surface Pro3 to Wi-Fi
To connect the Microsoft Surface Pro3 to Wi-Fi, navigate to the bottom right corner of the desktop and find the Wi-Fi icon. A window will appear listing Wi-Fi connections in range of the Microsoft Surface Pro3. Click on the Wireless network you would like to join then select “Connect.”
