Background Information
Multi-Factor Authentication, or MFA, is a way to secure access to accounts using a secondary verification beyond a password. For Mobile Devices in the Enterprises environment, the Microsoft MFA Application is required. This Job Aide walks through the steps to set up Microsoft MFA on your IOS device.
Note – Initial setup and first-time use of Authenticator must be completed on property and on an internal network.
Downloading and Adding Multi-factor Authentication on IOS Device
- From your mobile device, go to https://myaccount.microsoft.com
- At the Sign In screen enter your windows account+@casinoaz.com as your username, tap “Next”.
- In the password screen enter your windows password and tap “Sign In”.
- At the Home page, under “Security Info”, tap “UPDATE INFO”.
- On the “Security Info” page, tap “+ Add Sign-in method”.
- On the “Add a method” pop-up, select the “Choose a method” dropdown.
- From the options, select “Authenticator app”.
- On the “Add a method” pop up, when “Authenticator app” is added in the drop down, tap “Add”.
- The “Microsoft Authenticator” pop-up window will offer an option to download the app, tap “Download now”.
- A pop-up will ask to open page in “App Store”, tap “Open”.
- From the App Store, tap “GET” on the Microsoft Authenticator app window.
- “Double Click” your mobile devices side lock button to confirm download.
- Once the app has downloaded, tap the “Open” button.
- In the Microsoft Authenticator app, tap “Accept”, and on the next screen tap “Continue”.
- Tap “Sign in with Microsoft”, and on the next screen tap “Allow” to allow notifications.
- Go back to your web browser to the Microsoft sign in screen and tap “Next”.
- On the Microsoft Authenticator screen, tap “Pair your account to the app by clicking this link”. This will bring the Authenticator app back up.
- On the Authenticator App, Tap the “casinoaz.com” user email displayed, which should include your windows username @casinoaz.com. You will then be presented with your authentication home screen.
- Go back to your web browser to the Microsoft screen and tap “Next”.
- The Authenticator app will then pop up on your screen asking for an approval of this attempted Sign-In. Tap “Approve”. You will then be presented with an approval notification that you can tap “Next” on the web application, and you will be presented with a “successfully registered” notification. You have completed the process and can now close out of the app and web browser.
