Background Information
Microsoft Word provides many options to add pictures and graphics into a document. This Job Aid outlines the required steps to insert a picture using the most common options in Word.
Inserting Pictures Options
Follow the steps below to add a picture to your document:

- Place your cursor where you want the Picture to be placed.
- From the Insert tab, choose Picture.
- Locate the picture to be added from the Insert Picture window.
- Click Insert.

- Place your cursor where you want the Clip Art to be placed.
- From the Insert Menu, choose Clip Art.
- Type what you are looking for in the Search for: field and click Go.
- Click the desired picture from the results and it will be inserted.

- Place your cursor where you want the Word Art to be placed.
- From the Insert Menu, click WordArt and choose the desired style.
- This will open the Edit WordArt Text window:
- Type the desired text (can choose different fonts and styles).
- Click OK.
