OneDrive - Reviewing Surveillance Footage

Background Information

Microsoft OneDrive is a secure platform to store, share and/or download confidential files. A Surveillance Request and related files can be downloaded for review directly from OneDrive.

Log Into the OneDrive App

  1. Click on the Start menu and type OneDrive.
  2. Open the OneDrive App.
  3. Log into OneDrive.

Open & Download a Surveillance Request

  1. An email notification will be received once a new Surveillance Request has been submitted. Find the email in Microsoft Outlook and select See New Files.
  2. In the OneDrive screen, select files to download by clicking to the left of each file. A dark blue circle with a checkmark will appear once file is selected.
  3. Select Download above the selected files to download.
    • Note: this may take several minutes to download based on file size.
  4. The files will appear in a zip folder in the lower-left corner of your screen and displays the download progress. When the folder has a completed blue circle, it has finished downloading.
  5. Double-click the folder to open it in File Explorer.

Extract Folder and Save to Desktop

  1. The contents of the downloaded folder appear in the main panel of the File Explorer window.
  2. The Extract Tab appears in the File Explorer ribbon.
  3. Click the Extract All button, located to the right in the Extract Tab.
  4. In the Extract window, click the Browse button to select a location for the downloaded folder or files.
    • Select the Desktop icon on the left-hand panel for the location.
    • Select Extract to begin extracting files.
    • Once extracted, the files will appear in a new File Explorer Window. These files are now saved to your Desktop.

Playing Content From Surveillance Request

  1. Double-click the MaxPro Clip Player icon from the extracted files in the File Explorer window to open the MaxPro Clip Player application.
  2. In File Explorer, open zip folder where desired clip(s) is located.
    • Open Clips folder.
    • Click, hold, drag and drop desired MPVC File directly into Desktop icon on far left-hand panel. This will save the clip itself directly to your desktop.
  3. In File Explorer, select the Desktop icon.
  4. Click, hold, drag and drop desired MPVC File directly into the MaxPro Clip Player application.
    • Repeat the same actions for multiple files.
  5. In the MaxPro Clip Player application, click, hold, drag and drop desired clip into Drop a Clip section. The file will automatically begin playing.
    • Only four clips at a time may be playing within the application.

Note: Delete Surveillance Request content from OneDrive once it is no longer needed. In OneDrive screen, select files to delete by clicking to the left of each file. A dark blue circle with a checkmark will appear once file is selected. Select Delete from above selected files to delete.
