Background Information
HALO is a Team Member Recognition Application that allows Team Members to accrue and redeem points for Logoed Items, Merchandise, Experiences, or Digital Gift Cards. Additionally, Team Members can nominate Team Members for Recognition awards, send congratulatory and celebratory messages in recognition of milestones and birthdays. The following Job Aid walks through the Halo points and redemption processes.
Accumulating Halo Points
- If you receive Catch-a-Star Card you will first log in to the Halo system.
*Note – There are also instructions on the Catch-a-Star Cards for point validation steps, including a QR Code to access the site from a mobile device.
- From your Dashboard, in the “Do you have a serial card?” section, enter the serial number from the Card into the “Enter Serial Number” section and click submit.
- If you have correctly entered the serial number and it is a valid serial number, your points balance will update accordingly.
*Note - If the code is incorrect or already redeemed you will see a red error banner notifying you of the issue.If you’ve verified the Serial Number is correct and you have not previously redeemed this number, please reach out to your functional manager for assistance.
Redeeming Halo Points
- From the Dashboard you can view your points balance available to spend. Click the “Browse Catalog” button to view the things available for purchase.
- The Catalog will allow you to search by category, brand, points amounts or other qualifying identifiers. You can also click a category from the carosel of categories to browse that category. Chose a method of your choice to find specific items or browse.
- When you find the item you would like to redeem your points for, click “Add To Cart”.
*Note – if the “Add To Cart” button is greyed out, and will not let you click, it is most likely that the item is priced above the number of eligible points you may have.
- Once you have added the item to your cart, your “cart” icon in the top right corner of your screen should reflect the quantity of items. Click your cart icon and click “View My Cart” to begin the checkout process.
- From your “My Cart” view you can review the items you are purchasing and make any changes needed. If you’d like to proceed with the purchase, click “Checkout”.
- Fill in all required fields noted with a red asterisk (*) for your shipping and contact information. Once completed, click “Checkout”.
- Once completed, you will be shown a review of your order that it has been successfully been received. You can click “Back to Home” to return to the Dashboard.
