Entertainment - Orange Sky Equipment Set-Up Procedure

Background Information

The following Job Aide details how to set up the audio and lighting equipment for Orange Sky. This includes identifying the connections to and from the Mackie Pro F16 Audio Mixer and configuring the Monitor Wedge and house speakers.

Escalation Path: Showroom Tech 1 > Showroom Tech 2 > Showroom Tech 3 > Showroom Tech Manager.

Equipment Set-Up Procedure

Locate and retrieve the equipment from the storage nook from Floor 14 / Degree 270.

Audio

  1. Plug and connect the power cable from the audio mixer into the wall outlet.
  2. Connect to the House System:
    1. Connect the female end of the XLR cable directly to the output of the audio mixer (left image).
    2. Connect the male end of the XLR cable into the input on the wall panel (right image).
  3. Connect the Speaker Monitor / Wedge:
    1. Insert the ¼” XLR cable to the balanced/unbalanced input on the mixer (left image).
    2. Connect the opposite end of the XLR cable from there directly into the input on the speaker wedge (right image).

Lighting

  1. Ensure power is plugged into an outlet with the 9V Adapter for the Lighting Controller.
  2. Connect the female end of the XLR cable into the input on the wall panel (left image).
  3. Connect the male end of the XLR cable into the input on the back of the lighting controller (right image).
  4. A completed, successful set up should look like the example in the attached pdf.
