Tokenworks IDVisor Scanner - Performing a DMVCheck

Background Information

The Tokenworks IDVisor Scanner can be used to perform a DMV Check on an ID to determine if the ID is authentic or fake. The following Job Aide provides the steps on how to perform a DMV Check using the DMVCheck enhancement feature in a Tokenworks IDVisor Scanner.

How to Perform a DMVCheck on an ID

  1. Prior to performing a DMV Check, the guest must agree to running their ID.
  2. On the IDVisor Scanner, enter the login credentials.
  3. Select Run DMV Check.
  4. Select Confirm to confirm running the DMV Check.
  5. A Results window appears:
    • If the ID is authentic and real, the result will be True, and a PASS notification is highlighted in green.
    • If the ID is fake, the result will be False, and a FAIL notification is highlighted in red.
    • If the Scanner does not recognize an ID as authentic or fake, a notification is highlighted in yellow. The operator can then ask Challenge Questions or proceed to perform a DMV Check again.
      • If you proceed with Challenge Questions, review the next section on verifying the ID.
  6. Log off the device once the DMV Check is completed. To log off, enter 78307830 for the Security Pincode.

IMPORTANT: You must log off after completing a DMV Check. Leaving the function open can allow unauthorized access to DMV Checks by staff, which is not permitted.
