UKG - Blackout Paid Day Transfer Code Entry

Background Information

By default, employees working a Blackout Day will be paid under the appropriate transfer pay code.  This job aide explains how to modify a Blackout Day Transfer Code in UKG to a team member’s timecard who is ineligible for the Blackout Day Paid Incentive and does not meet the eligibility requirements set forth in the Blackout Day Policy. If you are unsure if a team member’s timecard is eligible or ineligible, please consult the Blackout Day Policy. It is a timecard editor’s responsibility to determine if a team member meets the eligibility requirements for this policy.

Ineligible Timecards: Adding a Blackout Day Transfer Code to a Timecard

  1. Navigate to UKG and login.
  2. Select the Manage Timecards forward arrow to navigate to the timecards page.
  3. In the upper left corner of the screen, select a team member from the drop-down menu.
  4. Locate the Blackout Day line on the timecard.
  5. Under the Transfer column, select the entry field beside the Blackout Day.
  6. From the drop-down menu, select ;SRC Hourly No Blackout;;.
  7. Select Save in the upper right corner to save the timecard changes.
  8. To confirm the Blackout Day Pay Code was removed from the timecard, select Totals at the bottom of the screen.
  9. The Blackout Day Pay Code will not be listed under the Pay Code column.

Eligible Timecards: Confirming a Blackout Day Pay Code is on a Timecard

  1. Navigate to UKG and login.
  2. Select the Manage Timecards forward arrow to navigate to the timecards page.
  3. In the upper left corner of the screen, select a team member from the drop-down menu.
  4. Select Totals at the bottom of the screen.
  5. The Black Out Day Pay Code will be listed under the Pay Code column.
