UKG - 401k Analysis Report

Background Information

This job aide explains how to view the 401k Analysis Report in UKG. Utilize this report to review what Payroll has posted for the previous month’s employer 401k expenses. This report is only available to job roles with the appropriate user access.

Locating the UKG 401k Analysis Report

  1. Navigate to UKG and login.
  2. Select the navigation icon  on the left side of the screen.
  3. Select My Information & then, My Reports.
  4. From the Overview screen, select My Saved Reports within the navigation bar.
  5. Select the Others’ Settings switch to view shared dataview reports.
  6. Under the Filter option called Saved As Name, select Starts With from the drop-down menu.
  7. Type UKG 401k Analysis into the search field below the drop-down menu.
  8. Select UKG 401k Analysis to open the report.

Reviewing the UKG 401k Analysis Report

  1. The report can be filtered by any category listed in the top navigation bar. Categories include:
    • Business Structure: Division
    • Business Structure: Department
    • Employee ID
    • Employee Name
    • Pay Date
    • General Ledger
    • Entry Type
    • Description
    • Debit
  2. Select any blue-highlighted filters at top of the report to edit those filters.
    • Pay Date default is set to Last Month.
      • Select Date Range drop-down to edit the date range of the report.
      • Always ensure Show Only Finalized Payrolls is selected under Settings menu.
    • Select Apply to apply any changes.
  3. To export a copy of the report, select the ellipses in the upper right corner and select Export.
    • Recommended export file to review report and make any changes is Excel.
    • Recommended export file for sharing without changes is PDF.
