BACKGROUND INFORMATION
The Enterprise is now accepting digital comps in place of physical slips in Retail for guests with a player rewards card. The following Job Aid will explain how to confirm the guest has a digital comp to apply, how to apply a digital comp, and information on how tips, gratuities, and service fees are processed when a digital comp is applied.
Look Up and Apply a Digital Comp
- On the function screen of an InfoGenesis terminal or iPad, select "Casino Account Inquiry."
- Swipe the Player Rewards card on the payment device.
- Under the section titled, "Comps, Offers and Coupons," confirm a digital comp offer is listed for the player.
You can verify the following information:
- Total Amount of Comp is listed in parenthesis at the top of the offer
- Quantity of Comp is listed to the far right at the top of the offer
- Title of Comp is listed in the middle of the offer
- Expiration Date is listed at the bottom of the offer
- After verifying the player has a digital comp to use, select "Cancel" on the screen and complete the retail order process.
IMPORTANT: Do not apply the digital comp until the entire order is received. This ensures accurate tip, gratuity, and/or service fees are applied to the ticket.
- Once the order is complete and ready to be processed/tenured, begin to apply the digital comp by selecting the "Casino Tender" button from the function screen.
- Swipe the Player Rewards card on the payment device.
- Select the digital comp offer to use and select "Next."
- A Restricted Tender Notification appears; this is notifying the InfoGenesis user that any tips, gratuity, and/or services fees will be adjusted as a digital comp cannot be used to pay for tips, gratuity, and/or service fees. Select "Yes."
- Confirm the tender amount of the comp and select "Done."
- Verify the digital comp was applied to the check and receipt under the CMP Comp Offers tender header.
IMPORTANT:
A digital comp cannot be used to pay for tips, gratuities, and/or services fees.
